Things to Do on Saturday
Looking for something fun for the whole family to do on Saturday? Check out these events:
18th Annual MIXFM Baby Fair - A fabulous resource for parents and parents-to-be. Bring the kids for Kids Karaoke, enter your crawler in the annual Diaper Derby (winner gets free diapers!) and get lots of helpful information from a large variety of Tucson business. Its free and the festivities go from 9 am to 3 pm at the Tucson Convention Center.
Peach Mania at Apple Annies - Located in Willcox, this farm has delicious produce at reasonable prices. You can pick your own tree-ripened peaches, apples and Asian pears. Start the day with an All You Can eat peach pancake breakfast before you take a hayride out to the trees to pick delicious fruits. This weekend is also the County Craft Fair so its a great time to take a drive out to the beautiful Willcox area. I can personally recommend the delicious apple-wood smoked burgers for lunch!
Singin’ at the Mall - Have a singer in your family ages 8 - 11? This Saturday at the Park Mall the Tucson Boys Chorus and Tucson Girls Chorus are holding auditions to discover the hidden talents in Tucson! Click on the above link for more information.
Summer Saturday Nights at the Desert Museum - This is a fabulous way to visit the Desert Museum during these hot summer months. Visit the museum after 5 until 9 pm to receive reduced admission prices of $5 for adults $2 for kids ages 6 - 12 and free for kids 5 and under.
Rincon Valley Farmers Market - A drive to the east side finds this hidden gem in the Rincon Valley. Get fresh organic produce, visit many craft vendors and sample some yummy food from the various food venders. Open from 8-1 during the summer. Often you can find a flea market on the grounds also.
